What to do when a mini RCA audio cable goes threw the wash?

I had a mini RCA audio cable in my pants that I totally forgot about. Put in the wash with the rest of my clothes. The RCA cable will work if you set it at a different direction, but It won't give you the same sound quality as normal. its bad sound quality
