About this book
Comdex Hardware and Networking book is designed for those aspiring students who want to build their future in computer hardware. The book covers each and every detail of computer hardware starting from a simple looking mouse to highly complicated motherboard. Step-by-step description of concepts, supported by illustrations for easy understanding and simple language make this book unique in itself. The software section given in the book would be an added advantage for the readers; since we strongly believe that hardware personnel must be aware with software. So, it's a complete kit in itself with no parallel in the market.

Ooooor, I could put it in a piggy bank. 'Cause then instead of a PID controller, it'd be a PIG controller (cue laugh track, audio engineer puts on groan track instead, gets fired). And it would be cute and silly-looking. Unfortunately so far I have been unable to locate a plastic piggy large enough to put a 5x5x11cm PID unit inside, so if all else fails it might come down to making my own pig out of clay or something (I'd rather not use clay specifically, however, because it doesn't take knocks very well). I'm thinking a regular power socket on the snout (they do kind of look like a mouth and nostrils after all), a C14 male power socket on the opposite side (I don't want to meet the pig whose anus looks like that), the thermometer cable coming out the tail, and the control panel on either the top or side depending on the exact shape of the piggy. Oh, and a big on-off switch somewhere, prob either near the control panel or attached to the anal socket. As an added detail, and I'm not entirely sure if I can pull this part off, but I have a feeling that I can give it eyes that light up when it reaches the target temperature by connecting a couple of LEDs (with appropriate resistors, natch) to the "cooling" terminals (which will be otherwise unused) and letting the PID unit believe that the LEDs are, in fact, a relay driving a preposterously inefficient refrigerator. Now imaginary refrigerators obviously don't cool things very quickly because they don't exist, but nevertheless the...
